Gemmarossa is one of the most characteristic red wines from the Castelli Romani region of Italy. This wine is made with a blend of Cesanese and Montepulciano, both of which thrive in the volcanic soils and mild climate of the area.
The Gemmarossa red wine presents itself with a deep ruby red color and violet shades. On the nose it offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries, complemented by subtle spicy notes of cloves and black pepper and a touch of earthy undertones.
On the palate, Gemmarossa is a full-bodied wine with soft and well-integrated tannins. It has a refreshing acid structure that contributes to its balance and complexity. The taste develops in the glass, revealing layers of red berries, spices and a hint of chocolate and tobacco in a long and pleasant finish.
This wine is ideal to enjoy with traditional Italian dishes such as pasta with meat sauce, grilled meat or mature cheeses. The Gemmarossa red wine is a real pleasure for every wine lover and a proud expression of the area's wine production traditions and unique soil.
